As an artist and performer, Jamie Lidell has had a hell of a life, ping ponging from the avant garde, to clubland hedonism to the mega mainstream and all points in between. He has adopted personae from faceless, nameless techno producer to flamboiant showman. He's made monsterous noise and sweet soul music. He's performed in art spaces, rave dungeons and some of the biggest stages in the world in a whirlwind of creativity. This new chapter for Jamie see's him completely reassessing his relationship to himself, his history, his music and his creative process. His latest release 'Places Of Unknowing' is a beautiful departure from everything he has done before, drawing him more into the world of post classical composition and arrangement.
